What You'll Do Evaluate and treat patients across orthopedic, neurologic, sports medicine, and post‑surgical conditions, with the ability to specialize in your area of interest. Job Summary Evaluates and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs to treat movement dysfunction and pain resulting from injury, disease, disability, or other health‑related conditions. Acts as a resource in the department for clinical excellence, educational advancement, quality initiatives, and growth and development of students and staff. Meets clinical specialist competencies as needed to maintain specialist designation. Job Responsibilities and Requirements PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform patient‑centered therapy services utilizing standard therapy techniques in the appropriate specialty field. Provide consultation for and/or management of patients requiring complex or advanced treatment. Develops appropriate treatment plans based on patient evaluation. Educate and counsel patients and families regarding treatment plans and available support programs. Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from physical therapy services. Participate in process improvement, clinical record documentation, and department education programs. Collaborate with therapy leadership to orient, instruct, and mentor staff, students, and trainees with up‑to‑date clinical practice and evidence‑based guidelines. Participate in research projects and quality assurance activities as required. Coordinate in‑services or clinical excellence activities. Communicate and advocate for physical therapy services with health care professionals, patients, and public stakeholders. Engage in community outreach to build partnerships for promoting physical therapy services. Maintain department‑level productivity and financial stewardship. Support strategic planning and program development processes. Adhere to safety and professional standards. Perform other duties as assigned. Education, Experience, and Physical Requirements Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy, or related as required to obtain licensure in state of practice. Experience: Three years’ experience or graduation from Post‑Graduate Residency or Fellowship. Physical Requirements: Constant standing; frequent lifting/carrying of 0–25 lbs and 25–50 lbs; frequent use of hearing, vision, and speaking; frequent walking, reaching, gripping, and keyboard use; occasional bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, sitting, squatting, twisting; occasional driving; rare crawling. Licenses and Certifications State of Work Location requirements vary by location (IL, MO, OK, WI) including Basic Life Support (BLS HCP) and Physical Therapist licensure as applicable by state boards (AHA BLS HCP, IDFPR, Missouri Division of Professional Registration, Oklahoma Medical Board, Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services).
