No 3rd Party Candidate.Remote candidates from East Coast are fine.The Senior DevOps Engineer will be based in the United States (Boston-area or remote) to provide Kubernetes matter expertise for our AWS, Azure and Google Cloud deployments by providing monitoring and production support for the Kubernetes clusters.What you will doBuilding, deploying and maintaining Kubernetes clusters, as well as debugging issuesBuilding components for a Kubernetes serviceWork with the development teams on the CI/CD process related to Kubernetes deployments and other CI/CD pipelinesUsing the technologies such as Git, Hashicorp tool sets, Helm, Puppet, Jenkins, Docker EE, Openshift, ELK Stack and many other DevOps related technologiesCooperate in developing automation strategies for Public data center stacks (Hyperconverged/Traditional architectures, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)Participating in team activities - operational and strategic planning and prioritization, code and architecture reviewing, pipeline and automation development, documenting delivered codeCreating and updating tickets and documentation using tools such as Jira and ConfluenceSupporting a team of developers in delivering scalable solutionsRequirementsExpert level of understanding of complex K8s applications in at least one of the Kubernetes based Container Platforms (Openshift, EKS, GKE, Anthos or Tanzu)Production experience in large environments using automation and configuration management tools like Terraform, Ansible or CFT5+ years of software development or advanced system administration in open source technologies3+ years of providing technical guidance to other engineers3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines2+ years hands-on experience with AWS or other cloud and virtualization platforms2+ years hands-on experience on kubernetes based container platforms (i.e., Openshift, EKS)Expert level experience with Terraform, Cloudformation and HelmKnowledge of Linux, including Ubuntu, RHEL, or CentOS with a focus on web, including Apache or Nginx2+ years of experience in maintaining and administering open source databasesGreat interpersonal skills, team-work attitude, and drive collaborative initiativesDesired Qualifications2+ years of experience with Event-driven, Micro-services, and Serverless development patternsExperience in re-architecting on-premise applications and migrate them to any/all CSPs infrastructure and similar project participationCompetitive salary (base & bonus)Challenging projects in a dynamic, collaborative teamJ-18808-Ljbffr Waltech
