Commercial Kitchen Equipment InstallerLocation: Hayward, CA (Bay Area)Pay Range: $25hr.-32hr. DOEJob DescriptionAssisting with equipment installations and maintenance as required.Assist with the assembly of equipment and inspect for proper operation, uncrating, and moving of equipment into position.Driving service and delivery truck to the intended destination to deliver or pick up equipment with the use of a lift-gate.Assist other office employees and Service Technicians as required.Work hours as needed.Training other technicians in knowledge and skills required to perform their jobComplete ongoing training in the areas of job safety, equipment knowledge, technical skills, etc.Pick up and deliver parts to job locations as required.Other job-related duties as assigned.Basic QualificationsHigh School diploma/GED or related experienceDriver's license in good standing and can meet insurance requirements0-1 year experience in related field.Certified to operate a forklift (the company will certify you if necessaryPass a DOT physical where required KnowledgeBasic Knowledge of welding, hydraulics and/or electrical skillsUnderstand how to troubleshoot mechanical problemsBasic plumbing and soldering knowledgeBasic knowledge of electricalBasic knowledge of moving tools and equipment Skills/AbilitiesAbility to work with mechanical/electrical equipment within all company safety guidelinesAbility to operate pallet jackExperience driving or ability to drive rack truck and 24-26 foot box truck with Tommy Gate operationCustomer service skills- resolving customer issues, ensuring appropriate communication with customers and following up on customer requestsAbility to think on your feet and troubleshoot unexpected situationsAbility to manage expense reports and travel budgets.Ability to work well independently and in teamsPreferred Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesClass B CDL licenseExperience working with commercial kitchen equipmentSkilled with hand and power toolsPhysical Requirements/Environment:Able to up to 50-75 lbs with or without assistanceAble to climb up to 8 ft with ladder. Working on roofs of building will be requiredExtensive driving up to 8-10 hours/day may be requiredKneeling, squatting, bending, pushing/pulling requiredExposure to noise, heat, cold, slippery, wet conditionsRequired AvailabilityYou will travel out-of-town with overnight stays 2-3 consecutive nights per week, primarily mid- week. Schedule is set well in advanceWill rarely travel on a Sunday for projects that begin on a Monday.
