About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team and support the financial operations of our multi-entity structure. This is a full-time, on-site position based at Wheeler Farms in St. Helena. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close processes, and ensuring the integrity of our accounting systems across both estates.

Responsibilities:
•  Support period-end closing processes across multiple entities
•  Maintain and update accounting records and files
•  Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
•  Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
•  Support maintenance of fixed asset and inventory sub-ledgers
•  Reconcile all accounts timely and accurately, including prepaid accounts, accrued expenses, deferred revenue, and employer/tax liabilities
•  Prepare documents for financial audits
•  Assist in generating ad-hoc financial reports for divisions and lines of business
•  Assist with revenue and cost functions
•  Complete special projects as needed

Qualifications:
Required:
•  Accounting or Business Administration degree with an Accounting emphasis, or 2+ years of related accounting experience in the wine industry with a multi-entity structure
•  Solid understanding of GAAP
•  Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks Online
•  Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data organization, IF/THEN formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP functions, and pivot tables
Preferred:
•  Experience with Commerce7 system
•  Experience with inventory accounting

Compensation & Benefits
•  Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 annually, depending on experience
•  401(k): Company plan with 4% employer match
•  Health Insurance: Premium health plan with over 90% of the employee premium covered by the company
