Accounting Manager

Location: Saint Petersburg, FL 33716 - fully in office Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, general ledger activity, and month-end close. This role will work closely with senior leadership and ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily accounting operations and general ledger activity Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations Lead the month-end and year-end close processes Maintain and strengthen internal accounting controls Research accounting matters and ensure GAAP compliance Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Analyze cost and financial variances and provide meaningful insights Oversee employee expense reporting processes Coordinate with external auditors and provide requested financial information Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close Advanced Excel skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines #J-18808-Ljbffr Addison Group
