Training Manager

Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions for STIHL commercial teams, dealers, and channel partners Deliver brand-aligned instruction on product knowledge, sales strategies, and customer engagement Partner with instructional designers to enhance existing training programs based on real-time learner feedback Coach field representatives and trainers to improve facilitation techniques and learning outcomes Assess learner performance and gather qualitative feedback to identify improvement opportunities Represent STIHL values and culture in every learning interaction Perform all other assigned duties and responsibilities Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communication, Business, or related field Professional training certifications (e.g., ATD Master Trainer, CPTM) strongly preferred 5+ years in a training, facilitation, or coaching role in commercial, retail, or technical industries Experience training on products or systems with hands-on components Familiarity with STIHL’s product categories or dealer networks Proven success in delivering high-impact instruction to adult learners Up to 25% travel by air Strong facilitation and public speaking skills for technical and commercial audiences Familiarity with LMS platforms and classroom technologies Ability to adapt instructional techniques to suit diverse learner needs Basic proficiency with training software (PowerPoint, Teams, etc.) Highly relational, strong interpersonal and coaching abilities Confident, energetic presence Candidate must live in or around Southern California or be open to relocation Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in facilitating training sessions and coaching, with a strong focus on enhancing learner engagement and performance.
