This position will hire, mentor, and train a team of up to 5 employees while also supporting the operations of a metal service center within the McNichols operations organization. This position is responsible for working with the management team to coordinate the productivity, efficiency, and safety of the branch. This is a working supervisor role, both managing the warehouse and using machinery.Welding and/or saw experience strongly preferred!ResponsibilitiesFabricate orders to customer specifications, including cutting and preparing orders for shipmentTrain and mentor branch staffProvide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.Manage and sustain excellent communication and viable relationships with McNichols vendors and suppliersMonitor metrics for quality and performance, making improvements as needed.Manage maintenance of equipment and machineryComplete cycle counts and manage inventory adjustmentsWork closely with third party logistics carriers to provide on-time delivery of McNichols productQualifications3-5 years team lead or supervisory experience with leading, delegation, and decision making.Working knowledge of shop math and design drawings – experience with all types of toolsWelding experience preferredBasic knowledge of MS Word and ExcelExperience inventory management softwareExperience working in ISO or quality regulated environment preferredKnowledge of general business and management principles including standard financial metrics and employment practicesExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to prioritize, organize and multi taskHigh levels of professionalism with strong attention to detailAll uniforms, steel toed boots, welding gear, and safety equipment is provided in a clean, safe work environment.At McNICHOLS we reward our team with quarterly incentives, great health and wellness benefits, generous 401k matching, 15 days of PTO, as well as 100% company paid life insurance, disability, wellness, and financial health benefits.
