VP of Ad Ops

Locala is hiring for a VP of Ad Ops role. We are looking for candidates in the Miami, Montreal, or Toronto areas. This role is hybrid with 2-3 days expected in office.

YOUR ROLE:

The VP Ad Ops role will report to the COO. This role is the central authority and risk owner, ensuring global execution, accountability, and consistency for our trading, support ops, and insights and reporting teams. Your responsibilities will include:

Global Strategic Leadership:

• Oversees the entire trading practice globally

• Defines and implements the central trading strategy

• Manager of head of trading / Adops / Reporting Insight

Accountability for delivery and performance

• Is accountable for the overall performance of the trading department (media and margin performance)

• Is accountable for the correct delivery of all campaigns and the adherence to all established SLAs

Governance

• Is the main interface with local Managing Directors (MDs) and Heads of Customer Success (Head of CS).

• Is the final point in the escalation process when a Strategic Client (Tier 1) is at high risk.

YOUR PROFILE:

• 10+ years of progressive experience in ad operations, programmatic trading, or digital media, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing large-scale or global teams.

• Deep, hands-on understanding of the programmatic ecosystem (DSPs, SSPs, ad servers, exchanges), with specific experience in mobile or location-based commerce media being a strong plus.

• Proven track record of defining, implementing, and governing centralized trading strategies across multiple regions or markets. Experience managing other leaders (such as Heads of Trading or Ad Ops Directors) is required.

• Strong financial acumen with demonstrated experience managing media performance, optimizing margin profitability, and holding teams accountable to strict delivery SLAs.

• Exceptional ability to interface with and influence senior internal stakeholders, particularly local Managing Directors (MDs) and Heads of Customer Success (CS).

• Undergraduate degree required; Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.

• Solution-oriented, highly analytical, and adaptable. You thrive in a dynamic environment and have a demonstrated ability to lead through organizational change.

• Base Compensation for this role is around $110-145K + competitive variable compensation
