Are you ready to build your career by joining a healthcare provider? If so, our client is hiring a Patient Engagement Associate. Position Type: Contract, Remote. 13 Weeks Contract. Schedule: 8 hours/day - Unit is open from 7a-6p. Shifts will be between 8-4:30 and 8:30-5 (40 Hours per week).

Required:

• H.S. Diploma/GED (Required).
• Associate's or Bachelor's may be considered in lieu of experience.
• All compliance items are required despite being remote.
• Have call center, PSR, medical office front desk/receptionist experience etc.
• Highly preferred to have working knowledge of EMR Systems - include EMR experience on sub form.
• Call Center Environment - Supporting CPUP's Primary Practices.
• Average calls per day 50-80
• Average call time - 5-6 minutes
• Heavy metrics driven
• All calls and computer activities are recorded for quality assurance and performance evaluation.
• Expected to be at computer during the entire shift.
• Schedule includes 30-minute unpaid lunch and two paid 15-minute breaks.
• Must clear queue prior to clocking out for the day, so may require working past end time in some cases

Responsibilities:

• Patient Engagement Associate is a remote customer service position supporting medicine ambulatory practices in a call center environment.
• Phone based, high volume role supports several patient interactions including registration, appointment scheduling, referrals and pre-authorizations.
• Requires superior and compassionate customer service skills with a focus on productivity to satisfy the financial and operational targets of the Health System.
• Primarily a work from home position.
• Requires the agent to learn and execute several protocols for a limited number of Departments.
• Strives to understand and anticipate patient needs to improve the patient encounter and overall medicine experience, manages service recovery efforts when needed, enlisting management assistance as appropriate.
• Answer phones supporting Access Center SL goals and follow department protocols to manage patient requests.
• Communicate patient need by thoroughly completing encounter documentation, taking detailed notes and route appropriately through the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Maintain knowledge of basic medical terminology, computer and EMR skills.
• Accurately communicate and set patient expectations in a clear, empathetic manner to help ensure they arrive for their appointment with all pertinent information and care coordination (medical records, test results, referrals, copays).
• Solves telephone issues and timely reports problems related to volume to manager. Follow established downtime procedures for registration.
• Maintains up to date knowledge of insurance requirements pertinent to patient service and billing procedures: including basic knowledge of all managed care plans and which insurers require a copayment or referral.
