Supervisor Exterior Assembly

We are currently seeking a Supervisor Exterior Assembly to provide leadership for our Exterior Assembly operations. This position is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement while ensuring customer production requirements are achieved.

What You'll Do

As the Supervisor Exterior Assembly, you will:

• Lead and develop production team members and team leaders to achieve departmental goals.
• Promote and maintain a safe workplace by enforcing company safety policies and procedures.
• Coordinate daily production activities to meet customer schedules and delivery requirements.
• Monitor labor utilization, productivity, efficiency, and departmental performance metrics.
• Ensure products meet customer quality standards and appearance requirements.
• Partner with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Materials, and Logistics to resolve production issues.
• Investigate and resolve quality concerns using structured problem-solving techniques.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost, delivery, and efficiency.
• Coach team members through performance management, training, and employee development.
• Maintain production documentation, staffing schedules, attendance, and departmental reporting.
• Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years of manufacturing experience.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Previous supervisory experience in automotive manufacturing.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of quality systems and structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Experience in a Just-in-Sequence (JIS) or high-volume automotive production environment.
