Technical Portfolio Manager

Piper Companies is hiring a Technical Portfolio Manager for a tech-driven insurance and financial services company located in Durham, NC. The Technical Portfolio Manager will serve as a partner to the IT organization, driving alignment, and delivering visibility across multiple technical initiatives and product squads. The Technical Portfolio Manager will be required to be onsite 3 days a week at our Durham, NC location. Responsibilities Serve as a portfolio management partner to IT leadership, supporting CIO-level initiatives and representing IT holistically across programs Identify and manage cross-team dependencies while sequencing work across teams to support a large-scale roadmap Engage with senior leadership and executives, providing clear communication and proactive risk mitigation Requirements 8+ years in project management experience and 3+ years leading rigorous technical programs/portfolios Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Technology, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PfMP, or SaFE) are a plus but secondary to proven senior-level experience Strong background in IT/software development environments with experience applying SDLC methodologies Proficiency with PMO tools such as JIRA, Smartsheet, or similar platforms Experience working within Agile/Scrum and hybrid delivery models Onsite 3 days a week in Durham, NC office Compensation Salary of $120,000 - $140,000 Full Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, Paid Holiday and Sick Leave if Required by Law #J-18808-Ljbffr
