Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Department is seeking a qualified Postpartum Registered Nurse (RN) to be stationed at a facility in Eureka, California. This role involves providing comprehensive postpartum, labor, and newborn care to a culturally diverse patient population. The candidate must bring their California state license on the first day of assignment. The position requires working night shifts from July 13, 2026, with a minimum schedule of 48 hours per week.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift
• Required Qualifications: Valid California state license, 1 year of experience in labor and delivery or postpartum nursing, Certifications including ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP, experience with Epic electronic medical record system, and willingness to work at least 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk delivery, neonatal abstinence syndrome, and ability to float between sister facilities near the contracted hospital.
• Schedule: Nights, 12 hours shift, minimum 48 hours per week
• Additional Information: Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the hospital or nearby. Refusal to float may impact assignment continuation. Candidates must have a clean background, provide two references covering recent one-year periods, and include SSN, DOB, and RTO at time of submittal.
• Certifications and Skills: Administration of blood and blood products, assist with high-risk deliveries, sterile speculum exams, vaginal delivery, postpartum hemorrhage management, fetal monitoring (EFM), intrauterine pressure catheter placement, and more as detailed above.
