Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

We are hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a hospital in Kingwood, TX. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment and care for patients with breathing disorders. The role requires critical care skills, patient assessment, and the ability to perform ordered respiratory treatment procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current state respiratory therapist license in good standing.
• One year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• BLS certification.
• Critical care experience required.
• Patient assessment and performance of respiratory treatment procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR preferred.
• Required certifications: ACLS.
• Floating to different units is mandatory. Rotation to different units will be assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• NRP and PALS certification preferred.
• Experience with Hamilton ventilators, Vapotherm HF/Airvo HF, V60 BiPAP, Parapac, and EPOC ABG analyzers preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1900–0700.
• Every other weekend required (Saturday & Sunday).
• No on-call requirement.
• Patient ratios during first rounds typically 1:12–18.
• Typical unit staffing on shift includes 1 PM Supervisor, 1–2 PM Lead RTs, 1 EKG tech, and 6–9 RTs per shift.
• Scrub color/attire: pewter.
