Job Title: Wound Care Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Wound Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours (0730 - 1700) Experience: Minimum of 6 months wound care experience required, preference for outpatient wound care clinic experience License: Current unencumbered Oregon RN licensure required Certifications: Healthcare Provider Level BLS required; BSN preferred; Related certification in Wound Care preferred Must-Have: - 1 year of experience in nursing - Experience in wound care Description: Provides treatment based upon an established plan of care for patients with wounds, fistulas, percutaneous tubes, ostomies, incontinence, and actual or potential skin breakdown. Serves as a resource and consultant to patients and nursing staff. Performs assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care provided. Collaborates with WOCN to implement changes in the plan of care. Department Description: Treats acute or chronic wounds caused by diabetes, surgery, injury, poor blood flow, and other issues. The scope of practice is physician driven and centered around wound, ostomy, and continence care. Maintaining additional adjunctive therapies such as vein medicine and hyperbaric medicine. Holiday coverage may be required.
