The qualified home health aide we are looking for will need to assist clients with the following:
• Housekeeping: by performing light cleaning, laundry, dishwashing, and maintaining a safe environment.
• Meal Preparation: preparing nutritious meals and snacks according to dietary needs.
• Personal Hygiene Assistance: Help with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral care.
• Mobility Support: Assist with walking, transferring from bed to chair, and using mobility aids.
• Medication Management: Reminding clients to take medication and assisting with administration under supervision.
• Health Monitoring: Observe and report changes in clients' physical or emotional condition to family members or healthcare professionals.
• Care Plan Adherence: Follow individualized care plans and assist with first aid or emergency response as needed.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, client progress, and any incidents.
• Companionship: Provide emotional support, engage in conversation, and participate in hobbies or activities to reduce loneliness.
• Transportation: Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or social outings to ensure safety during travel.
Minimum Requirements
• Must possess at minimum a PCA certificate.
◦ On-the-job training and certification are available.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have valid identification allowing employment in the United States.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be able to read and write English.
◦ Be able to understand and follow written individualized care plans.
◦ Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, client progress, and any incidents.
• Must have reliable transportation.
