Target Security Specialist

Hourly Rate: $21.25 USD per hour. Key Responsibilities Use intelligence‑led tactics to keep team members and guests safe and secure. Respond to and document security incidents in a timely manner, leveraging video surveillance and case management systems. Conduct de‑escalation and support for guests and team members, including safety and crowd management. Perform merchandise theft recovery and assistance in apprehension, following AP policies. Prevent theft and shortage at the front of store by performing merchandise receipt checks and recognizing trends. Promote a physical security culture by assessing and maintaining safe standards throughout the store. Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience. Assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude. All other duties as assigned based on business needs. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age or older. High school diploma or equivalent. Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position. Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed. Effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and with a team. Manage workload, prioritize tasks, and remain focused in a fast‑paced environment. Capability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift and to perform tasks in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements. Participants must be able to climb ladders and lift or move merchandise up to 40 pounds. Open to a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and other peak shopping times.
