Part-Time | $25/hour | Weekends | Barrington, NJA child's birthday is one of those days parents want to remember forever. They want the room to look beautiful, their child to feel celebrated, their guests to have fun, and, ideally, to actually enjoy the party themselves instead of worrying about every little detail.That's where you come in.As a Party Lead at River & Root, you'll help bring each family's celebration to life. You'll take the vision we've planned with a family and transform our space using thoughtfully selected décor, linens, banners, table settings, balloon towers, centerpieces, and all the little details that make a celebration feel special.You notice the details. You genuinely enjoy making things look beautiful, and you take pride in stepping back when you're finished and knowing that everything feels intentional.But creating a beautiful party is only part of the role.Once the family arrives, you'll shift from stylist to host, helping them feel welcomed, supported, and able to actually enjoy their child's celebration. Throughout the party, you'll interact with families and children, confidently make announcements and guide a group through the flow of the celebration, anticipate what the family needs, and help keep everything running smoothly.Parties move quickly, so we're looking for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and isn't afraid to jump between decorating, hospitality, working with children, serving, problem-solving, and resetting the space.At the end of the day, your job is simple: make the celebration feel beautiful, thoughtful, and easy for the family hosting it.Who You AreYou have an exceptional eye for detail, beauty, and presentation and genuinely enjoy decorating and styling spaces.You're warm, friendly, and naturally hospitable.You're proactive and notice what needs to be done without always needing direction.You're confident in communicating with adults and comfortable making announcements and giving direction to a group.You enjoy interacting with young children and families.You can follow a detailed party plan while also using your own judgment and creativity.You thrive in a busy environment and can comfortably shift between priorities.You're dependable and can consistently commit to weekend work.You don't need professional event-planning experience, but you should genuinely enjoy creating beautiful spaces and celebrations.DetailsSchedule: Weekend-focused. Typical shifts are 11:30 AM-5:30 PM or 2:45 PM-8:45 PM on Saturdays and Sundays, with occasional morning shifts depending on the season.Availability: We're looking for someone who can consistently commit to at least one full weekend shift nearly every weekend, with preference for candidates who have availability on both Saturdays and Sundays.Compensation: $25/hour, including paid training and shadow shifts.Start Date: We're looking for someone who can begin training as soon as possible.Perks: Complimentary Open Play passes for your children, employee discounts, opportunities to grow with our team, and a fun, connected work environment.Location: River & Root, 600 Clements Bridge Road, Barrington, NJ.River & Root is more than a place to host a birthday party.
