Charge Nurse (RN)

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Charge Nurse leads daily unit operations to ensure safe, high-quality patient care. They oversee staffing, patient assignments, and resource management, while actively participating in patient care and interdisciplinary collaboration. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate clinical activities, including staffing, patient flow, and resource allocation. Perform or oversee the Nursing Process, ensuring individualized, evidence-based, and safety-focused care. Conduct daily patient rounds, evaluate care quality, and implement corrective actions as needed. Facilitate effective communication among care team members and with patients' families. Support team development through mentoring, coaching, and promoting professional growth. Participate in performance improvement, research, and evidence-based practice initiatives. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and ethical practices. Qualifications & Skills Associates or Bachelor's nursing degree; RN license (single state or multi-state compact). Basic Life Support certification; national specialty certification preferred. Minimum of 1 year nursing experience; 2 years as relief charge preferred. Strong leadership, critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in clinical technology and computer skills.
