Staff Product Engineer, Americas

Hi, I’m Abhik, Ashby's Co-Founder and VP of Engineering. We’re looking for a versatile, persistent product engineer who’s not afraid to set up reusable building blocks across the stack and advocate for the time and space to do so. At Ashby, all our engineers ship features end‑to‑end at a high pace. We provide the combination of a startup’s agency and a growth‑stage’s scale. You’ll write product specs, make product and design decisions, and build in an almost no‑meeting culture while serving tens of thousands of daily users. About The Role As a product engineer you’ll take ownership of a large portion of one of our products and run projects end‑to‑end. You’ll research competitors, write product specs, create wireframes, and implement solutions. Typical achievements include: Designed and built automated interview scheduling. Built a generalized declarative filter architecture. Specced and implemented a feature that allows users to complete signing offers entirely within Ashby. Qualifications & Expectations Comfortable tackling any part of the stack, from frontend to infrastructure. Experience delivering under product and technical ambiguity. Balance speed and quality, knowing that high‑quality release is critical. Ambitious and willing to grow your skills and collaborate across teams. Strong communication: vet decisions with stakeholders and keep them informed. Taste for automating or abstracting tedious work. Interview Process Introduction call with hiring manager (15‑30 min). A technical screen with pair‑programming on real code (1 h).
