Travel Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Travel Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in acute care settings and a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Job Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
• Weekends and holidays: Required
• Floating: Between Med Surg and Tele departments only

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through effective nursing processes including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Coordinate all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes.
• Administer medications using bedside scanning and maintain accurate medical records.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in an acute care setting is required.
• Current BLS certification is mandatory.
• Recent experience with Cerner electronic medical record (EMR) system preferred.
• Experience managing Med Surg patients with remote telemetry monitoring.
• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and at least 2 completed travel assignments are required.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 35
• Monthly Department Volume: 810
• Types of Services Provided: Med Surg, Remote Tele, Orthopedic, Post-operative Care, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Respiratory.
• Patient Ratio: 1 Nurse to 6-7 Patients; Patient Care Technicians (PCT) assigned to 14 patients.
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
