What you'll do
- Lead cross-functional teams to drive data center initiatives from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals, budget, and timelines.
- Oversee strategic planning and execution of data center projects, collaborating with stakeholders across IT, engineering, operations, and compliance teams.
- Manage multiple project streams, including infrastructure deployment, capacity planning, and vendor coordination to support scalable growth.
- Develop and implement processes to optimize data center performance, operational resilience, and cost efficiency.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, security standards, and compliance measures.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure seamless execution and delivery of projects.
- Provide leadership in data-driven decision-making, leveraging analytics to improve project outcomes and efficiency.
- Maintain clear and effective communication across all levels of the organization, presenting key findings and project updates to leadership and stakeholders.
You should have
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in program/project management within data centers, cloud infrastructure, or large-scale capital projects.
- Strong understanding of data center operations, including capacity planning, infrastructure management, and vendor coordination.
- Expertise in working with colocation providers, enterprise IT environments, and cloud service providers.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving real estate, construction, IT, and finance teams.
- Proven track record of managing budgets, contracts, and negotiations with vendors and suppliers.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all organizational levels.
- Flexibility to travel as required for project execution and stakeholder engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a technical field, law, or business administration (MBA)
- Proven experience with data center negotiation strategies and execution
- Demonstrated expertise in data center leasing and related transactions
