Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Psychiatrist - Collaborative Care to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi . Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center. The Department of Psychiatry has 89 adult acute inpatient beds, a CPEP, a Consultation Liaison Service, an Adult Ambulatory Practice, and a Community-Based Assertive Community Treatment program. The Department employs evidence-based best practices in providing the highest quality care to its patients, in a patient-centered approach that is respectful of their individuality, culture, and community. Opportunity Details Provide care for a diverse and challenging group of internal medicine patients in a Level III patient‑centered medical home. Work alongside a group of internal medicine physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, social workers, and case managers providing consultative as well as direct patient care. Assess and screen patients by conducting psychiatric evaluations, interviews, medical histories, observations, and psychological testing to diagnose patients. Prescribe and administer psychiatric medications. Monitor patients to determine efficacy and potential side effects of medications. Develop a treatment plan and measure progress. Provide crisis intervention. Collaborate with a broader team of physicians, psychologists, social workers, nutritionists, and nurses to assess and adjust treatment plans. Opportunities for departmental representation, research, and leadership education. Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry. Active New York State Medical License. Wages and Benefits Annual Base Salary: $267,900* (board eligible); $278,200* (board certified) based on a 40‑hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per‑diem hours. The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $438,690** (board eligible) and $450,020** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per‑diem hours, and other factors as set forth below: Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per‑diem hours worked per week is $104,000***. Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets. 401(k) company contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
