# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Emergency Department – New York Start Date: September 29, 2026
Location: Rochester, New York
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Rotating shifts 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM alternating with 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 13-week contract, every other weekend required Highlights:

• Work in a state-of-the-art, 24/7 emergency department at a 528-bed Magnet-recognized acute care teaching facility
• Patient ratio of 1:5 with adult and geriatric populations across all emergency diagnoses
• Advanced facility features include dedicated pediatric ED, crisis intervention unit, and trauma suite with centralized layout for rapid patient care
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Every other holiday coverage required; up to three shifts may be canceled by facility during contract without penalty
• Minimum 2 years of emergency nursing experience required; first-time travelers welcome

Requirements:

• Active New York Single State RN license (must be in hand prior to submission; New York is not a compact state)
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• Epic charting experience required
• Minimum 2 years of emergency nursing experience
• Proficiency in IV therapy including blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, and IV vasopressor management
• Experience with CPAP/BiPAP and ventilator management
• Strong background in stroke care, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
• Expertise in cardiac monitoring with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Emergency care experience with adult/pediatric populations, trauma cases, and critical interventions
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible
• Willingness to float within skillset as needed
