Human Resources Generalist

Pay Rate: $28-$35/hour (depending on experience) Position Overview A growing healthcare and educational services organization is seeking a Temporary HR Generalist to support day-to-day human resources operations during a period of growth. This role will partner with management and employees to provide HR support across employee relations, onboarding, recruiting coordination, compliance, benefits administration, and HRIS maintenance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of employee interaction. Key Responsibilities Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee record maintenance. Assist with recruitment activities, including scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate communications, and supporting hiring managers. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and organizational policies. Maintain employee files and HR documentation while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy. Respond to employee questions regarding benefits, policies, leave administration, and other HR-related matters. Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and employee communications. Support employee relations efforts by addressing routine concerns and escalating complex matters as needed. Process and track employee status changes, promotions, transfers, and terminations. Prepare HR reports, metrics, and audits as requested. Partner with leadership to support performance management, training initiatives, and employee engagement programs. Maintain accurate data within the HRIS and other workforce management systems. Assist with special HR projects and departmental initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 2+ years of HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, or Human Resources experience. Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. Experience supporting onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and recruitment efforts. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience with HRIS systems such as ADP, UKG, Paychex, Workday, or similar platforms preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality. Preferred Experience Experience supporting healthcare, educational, nonprofit, or multi-site environments. Familiarity with employee credentialing, compliance documentation, and workforce reporting.
