Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines using critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent clinical decisions.
• Provide care in an ICU-level unit that monitors and treats medical, surgical, and cardiac patients who have experienced shock, trauma, or other life-threatening conditions.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring continuity across shifts and services.
• Document patient status, responses to interventions, and outcomes to support safe and effective care transitions.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in California
• BLS certification; ACLS as applicable to ICU practice
• ICU or critical care nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a high-acuity setting
• Willingness to travel for a temporary assignment
• Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills; ability to function in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
