BOOKKEEPER

Summary The Bookkeeper works closely with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager to accurately record day‑to‑day finance transactions. Responsibilites include computing, recording, collecting, and verifying numerical data to maintain accounting records of financial operations, assisting in accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, general ledger reporting, and reconciling cash dropped by the guest services team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Consult with GM to reconcile daily business operations. Record day‑to‑day financial transactions, reconcile cash, and complete the posting process. Coordinate with the supervisor to resolve discrepancies. Run daily operations recap report. Assist the GM to ensure strict control of cash. Code purchase cards using chart of accounts and upload receipts. Maintain vendor’s permanent files and Certificates of Insurance. Respond to all credit card chargebacks within 24 hours. Review budgets and prepare estimates of future expenditures based on historical data or other available information. Enter data, maintain records, create reports, and assist with completing monthly estimate. Assist in audits of inventories. Prepare reports as required. Possess good organization and time management. Maintain office supplies and request orders as needed. Minimum one year bookkeeping experience or related field. Hear and converse in the English language. Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles. Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Proficiency with computers and proprietary software. Comfortable in a fast‑paced and high‑pressure environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Valid driver’s license. Physical Demands and Working Conditions Work is performed indoors and outdoors and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions. Office work requires the ability to operate standard office equipment, computer, copier, keyboard, etc. Must be able to lift and carry up to 10 pounds regularly, and lift or carry up to 25 pounds or more occasionally with assistance. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, push, pull, reach overhead and move safely over uneven terrain. Use of repetitive motion, standing, bending, sitting, lifting, and walking. Noise levels may be moderate to loud. May be exposed to dust, pollen, grasses, landscaping, and various chemicals and moving mechanical equipment. Use of personal protective equipment required where necessary. Will experience occasional interruptions and shifting priorities.
