If you're analytical, organized, and excited to grow your career in a collaborative environment, we'd love to hear from you.This is a full-time on-site position based in our Frederick, MD office with the opportunity for partial remote after 1 year of employment.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate accounting records, including general ledger entries, bank reconciliations and payroll reportsProcess and manage accounts payable transactions accurately and on timePrepare and post journal entries in compliance with accounting principles and internal policiesSupport monthly and yearly close activities, reconciliations, and financial reportingAssist with all audit requests and documentation as neededAssist with filing and maintaining business licenses and vendor accountsBuild, maintain, and optimize complex Excel spreadsheets for reconciliations, reporting, and analysisCoordinate with CFO and 3rd party CPA firm for creation of year-end reviewed financial reportsCreate AI processes to automate manual tasksRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field is preferred with 3-5 years of accounting experience or High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 12 years experienceA solid understanding of debits/credits, accounts payable, and journal entry preparationExperience with Sage 300 CRE or Foundation web-based accounting software is a plus, experience with a similar ERP financial system at a minimumExposure to 1-2 financial audits as a contributing team memberAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, data analysis)Experience using AI to automate manual accounting taskStrong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Windows PCPreferred ExperienceDirect experience with Sage 300Direct experience with Foundation web-based accounting softwarePrior involvement in process improvement initiatives using AIExperience with construction accounting in glass and glazing marketExperience with sales tax, physical inventory, and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceHealth insurance, PTO, 401(k) and morePotential for partial WFH after 1 year of employmentrecblid b2jgg9svby93igrsy7iwinh81py2ow
