We provide a wide array of transportation products, including paratransit, fixed route, shuttle, charter services, and ADA eligibility assessments.RydeTrans specializes in transporting people who depend on safe, comfortable, and reliable transportation to essential services like school, rehabilitation training, medical appointments, and work.Position SummaryRydetrans is seeking an experienced and highly motivated ADA Eligibility Manager to lead the administration of our ADA paratransit eligibility program. This role is critical to ensuring full compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and applicable Federal Transit Administration regulations (49 CFR Part 37), as well as meeting all requirements under public transit agency contracts.The ADA Eligibility Manager will ensure fair, consistent, and timely eligibility determinations while maintaining a strong focus on customer service, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness. This position plays a key role in contract performance, agency coordination, and service quality.**This position is contingent upon Rydetrans being awarded the associated contract/project.**Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Oversight & ComplianceAdminister ADA eligibility determinations in accordance with federal regulations (49 CFR §37.123–37.125) and client contract requirementsEnsure compliance with all ADA eligibility categories:Conditional, unconditional, temporary, and visitor eligibilityMaintain audit-ready files and documentation for agency oversight and triennial reviewsServe as subject matter expert on ADA eligibility policies and regulatory interpretationEnsure adherence to the 21-day determination requirementStaff Supervision & DevelopmentSupervise eligibility specialists, interviewers, and administrative staffDevelop and deliver training on:ADA regulationsFunctional assessment practicesCustomer sensitivity and communicationConduct performance evaluations and implement continuous improvement plansManage Travel Training ProgramApplication & Determination ProcessOversee intake, review, and processing of eligibility applicationsEnsure appropriate use of in-person, phone, and functional assessmentsMaintain consistency and defensibility in eligibility determinationsImplement quality assurance measures to ensure accuracy and complianceAppeals & Customer ExperienceManage the ADA appeals process in compliance with federal and contract requirementsCoordinate independent appeal hearings and ensure timely resolutionsEnsure all applicant communications are clear, accessible, and respectfulPartner with call center and customer service teams to resolve eligibility-related concernsData Management & ReportingUtilize eligibility and scheduling software systems to track applications and determinationsMonitor and report on key performance indicators, including:Application processing timelinesEligibility outcomesAppeals and overturn ratesPrepare reports for internal leadership and contracting agenciesEnsure data integrity and alignment with scheduling systemsCross-Functional CoordinationCollaborate with operations and scheduling teams to ensure eligibility outcomes align with service deliverySupport system integration between eligibility and scheduling platforms (e.g., Trapeze, Ecolane, Spare)Coordinate with Human Resources and Training teams on ADA-related compliance and staff developmentMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Social Services, Transportation, or related field preferred or…3–5 years of experience in ADA paratransit, eligibility determination, or human servicesMinimum 5 years supervisory experienceStrong working knowledge of ADA regulations (49 CFR Part 37)Experience with paratransit software systems (e.g., Trapeze, Ecolane, Spare)Strong communication, analytical, and documentation skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience working under public transit agency contractsKnowledge of functional assessment methodologies and conditional eligibility practicesExperience supporting Federal Transit Administration triennial auditsBilingual (Spanish/English) highly desirableCore CompetenciesRegulatory compliance and contract performance managementCustomer service excellence and ADA sensitivity awarenessDecision-making and documentation integrityLeadership and team developmentConflict resolution and appeals managementWork EnvironmentOffice-based environment with occasional field observation of functional assessmentsRegular interaction with client agency staff and participation in contract meetingsMay require attendance at appeal hearings or community outreach eventsCompensation & BenefitsSalary Range: $85,000 – $95,000 annually (DOE)Health, dental, and vision benefitsRetirement plan (401k or equivalent)Paid time off and holidaysProfessional development and training opportunitiesRydeTrans is committed to a policy of Equal Employment Opportunity and will not discriminate against an applicant or employee on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, national origin or ancestry, sex, physical or mental disability, veteran or military status, genetic information or any other legally-recognized protected basis under federal, state or local laws, regulations or ordinances.
