As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol License Holder in Jamaica, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. You will contribute to a welcoming environment through routine patrols, timely reporting, and teamwork. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, residents, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned government facilities, surrounding grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor logs, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Prepare clear, timely incident reports and maintain accurate daily activity logs for security-related events, observations, and interactions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
