Description: This role requires a physical therapist to provide care for adults, adolescents, and geriatrics. The focus is on total joints with same-day discharge, starting evaluations at 5:00 PM. Typical diagnoses include falls, CVA, trauma, pneumonia, and orthopedic procedures. The clinician will manage a case load of approximately 8 cases per day. Weekend coverage will be required for 2 weekend shifts per month. Experience in acute care, rehabilitation hospitals, and outpatient clinics is necessary. Familiarity with various conditions, including post-operative scenarios, spinal cord injuries, and cognitive disorders, is essential. Patient education and home exercise program development are key responsibilities. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Travelers must possess a valid driver's license and meet compliance requirements prior to starting. All candidates must be available for compliance activities within the first 1-2 weeks after signing. RTO requests must adhere to set guidelines during the contract period. Compliance with training requirements and documentation deadlines is mandatory.
