Pediatric Dental Assistant

General Function To provide chair side assistance to the pediatric dentist(s). Act as a resource for other dental staff. Maintain dental instruments, equipment and operatories in a clean and ready-for-use manner. Functioning as an effective communicator with parents/guardians. Demonstrates patience and empathy towards pediatric patients. Communicating with the patient to facilitate their comfort and cooperation. Provide dental x‑rays. Ensures compliance with FHC policies and procedures, OSHA accreditation requirements and HIPPA standards. Ensures appropriate medication storage.
