Registered Nurse - Telemetry Unit

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and ensures that standards of care in the Telemetry Unit are maintained. He or she will direct and guide patient/family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care while maintaining standards of practice.
• Communicate changes in the patient's clinical condition to the physician.
• Monitor cardiac conditions and manage diagnostic study results.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and procedures.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient conditions and treatment responses.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience in Ventilator Management preferred.
• COVID vaccination and boosters preferred.
• EPIC EMR experience required.

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with a shift from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM.
