1st shift - overtime required as necessary

Receives, stores, and distributes all incoming materials within establishment by performing the following duties. Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties.

Performs other related duties as assigned. Demonstrates the behaviors of punctuality, regular attendance, professionalism towards supervisors and co-workers, and self-directed task completion. Maintains clean work area. Must comply with all departmental SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures), company GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices), Employee Handbook Policies, including attendance, and all safety rules and standards. Works normal shift hours and overtime as required. Coordinates efforts as part of the team to provide assistance to all co-workers in all departments to maximize production efficiencies as needed. Trains co-workers and new hires to set up, operate and use equipment. Maintains all equipment by performing routine maintenance and cleaning. Verifies and maintains records, such as daily Forklift Inspections, and Inventory. Stores and organizes materials or items in racks or on shelves, according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style or product code. Marks materials with identifying information using tags generated from the AS400 system. Reads production schedule to determine which jobs are scheduled for the day; issues appropriate stock requisition for the items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards. Prepares outgoing shipments by assembling cartons/boxes, inserting item into carton, determines method of shipment, affixes shipping labels on package and posts weights and shipping charges. Compares identifying information and counts, weighs or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Routes items to departments. Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Operates lift truck, clamp truck and/or hand truck to move shipments. Uses computer to ship orders for FedEx, UPS or truck line shipments.

Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or related software, as well as Manufacturing software, Receiving, Shipping and Inventory Software. Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Regularly required to stand and reach with hands and arms. Frequently required to walk; stoop, kneel, crouch and talk or hear. Frequently lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 125 pounds. Requires constant movement and bending.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
