Position Title Resident Guest Care Support Reports To Program Manager Location Los Angeles - Pico Union, CA Classification Non-Exempt (Full Time) Hourly Rate $18.50 Shifts Available Swing: 3:00PM-11:30PM, Wednesday-Sunday Overnight: 11:00PM-7:30AM, Sunday-Thursday Resident Care Support Partner Overview A Resident Care Support Partner is responsible for providing direct, non-clinical support to guests within a recuperative care facility. This role ensures guests experience a safe, respectful, and supportive environment while assisting with activities of daily living and reinforcing care plan expectations during recovery. Responsibilities Ensure safety and security of the facility. Conduct daily inspections and perform routine room checks. Perform Resident/Guest intake responsibilities, greeting and orienting guests to program guidelines and services, building rapport and gathering feedback. Create, lead, and support engagement activities for Resident/Guests, building trust through consistent interaction and responsiveness. Assist nursing, case management, and external partners with Resident/Guest appointments, on-site services, and coordination of care. Assist management in maintaining bed availability, Resident/Guest tracking, and required documentation. Assist Lead staff or Program Management with inventory checks and supply logs. Maintain accurate records including daily shift notes, incident reports, and Emergency Action Plan documentation. Respond to Resident/Guest concerns using trauma-informed and Resident/Guest-centered approaches. Attend required meetings and training, including shift handoff and BLS, Crisis Prevention, Harm Reduction, Trauma-Informed Care, and DEI. Perform laundry, boutique, and mealtime support duties; assist with basic housekeeping tasks when needed. Remain flexible to adapt to schedule changes and/or work additional shifts as needed, in accordance with labor laws. Model a positive and professional image, adhering to dress code and standards. Perform additional duties as assigned to support facility operations and Resident/Guest care services. Maintain Resident/Guest boundaries to ensure safety and security. Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in caregiving, recuperative care, shelter-based care, or a related supportive services environment (preferred). Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work a schedule of five eight-hour shifts. Current BLS certification is preferred but not required. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with staff, Resident/Guests, and external partners. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. TB clearance required within 30 days of hire. Fingerprint live scan/background clearance required within 30 days of hire. Physical Requirements Standing and walking 90% of the time, frequent bending/stooping, squatting, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, and pushing/pulling. May lift or move up to 50 pounds. Conversational speech required. Noise level is high in some client-care areas.
