Job Details Location: Lake Quivira, KS 66217 Position Type: Full Time Job Description Lake Quivira is a premier private lake and country club community located just minutes from western Johnson County. We are seeking a dependable, motivated Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team. Responsibilities Perform general building maintenance and repairs Maintain and repair plumbing fixtures, furniture, woodwork, electrical systems, appliances, ventilation systems, and building structures Paint and repair doors, windows, walls, ceilings, roofs, drywall, tile, brick, and grout Perform preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment Maintain air conditioning systems, refrigerators, ice machines, pool pumps, and related equipment Monitor pool filtration and chlorination systems, test pool water, and maintain health department logs Repair small motors and equipment Assist with facility setup and support for club events Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner Work with the Facilities Manager on special projects and other assigned duties Qualifications High school diploma or GED required One year of maintenance experience in a commercial, institutional, hospitality, or similar environment preferred Vocational or technical training in HVAC, refrigeration, electrical or related trade is a plus General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical repairs Experience using power and hand tools safely Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must be authorized to work in the United States Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, lifting, and working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Must be able to safely operate tools and equipment while performing physical maintenance tasks Schedule This is a full‑time position. Work hours are generally daytime, with occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support club operations and special events.
