Role Description The Certified Dietary Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Texas City, TX, responsible for overseeing daily food and nutrition services within a senior living environment. This role plans, organizes, and supervises the preparation and service of meals that meet regulatory standards, resident dietary needs, and quality expectations. The Certified Dietary Manager collaborates with healthcare and dining teams to develop menus, monitor nutrition programs, manage food safety and sanitation practices, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Daily tasks include scheduling and training staff, controlling inventory and ordering supplies, maintaining documentation and resident dietary records, and responding to resident feedback to continuously improve the dining experience. The role also supports initiatives that promote resident satisfaction, wellness, and a positive hospitality-focused culture. Qualifications Strong knowledge of dietetics and nutrition, including therapeutic diets and nutritional guidelines. Skills in food preparation and food service operations, with attention to quality, safety, and presentation. Experience in food & beverage management, including inventory control, ordering, and cost awareness. Current Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or equivalent credential, or eligibility to obtain certification as required by regulations. Understanding of regulatory and compliance standards for senior living and healthcare food service. Ability to lead, train, and schedule diverse teams in a fast-paced kitchen and dining environment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with residents, families, and multidisciplinary staff. Basic computer skills for menu planning, documentation, and recordkeeping; prior experience in senior living or healthcare settings is preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
