• Experience in IV therapy, including PICC lines and mediports
• Ability to manage central lines
• Experience with wound care and other clinical procedures

Description:

Type of Facility: Skilled Nursing Facility / Long Term Care

Floor Mix: Combination of long term and skilled residents

Total Beds/Residents: 60 residents with private rooms

Electronic Medical Records used: Point Click Care

Staff Ratios: RN to patient ratio is 1:15, CNA to patient ratio is 1:10

Common Diagnoses:

• Inability to care for self
• Sepsis
• Femur fracture
• NSTEMI
• Chronic Kidney Failure
• Congestive Heart Failure
• Urinary Tract Infection

Job Duties:

• Administer medications
• Provide wound care
• Manage Foley catheter care
• Conduct PEG tube feedings
• Perform ostomy care
• Conduct tracheostomy care
• RN will take care of IVs, PICC lines, mediports, and other critical care tasks

Telemetry:

There are no telemetry monitors on this unit

RN's are not required to read telemetry strips

Weekend Requirements:

Every other weekend required

Floating Requirements:

Travelers will float before staff

Dress Code:

RN's wear navy blue scrubs

CNA's wear gray scrub pants with any print top

Additional Notes:

Enhanced droplet precautions for COVID-19 due to private room setup

N95 masks are required

No COVID vaccination requirement
