Surgical Access Coordinator, Marcus Neuro Institute Full-time, 8:30A-5P Location Boynton Beach Responsibilities Responsible for scheduling and coordinating all aspects of patient surgeries for a high-volume physician practice. Also responsible for creating and submitting surgical encounters in Soarian for billing. Obtains and verifies all patient demographics and insurance information. Obtains authorization for surgery and works directly with surgeons to ensure procedure and diagnosis codes are accurate for billing. Works closely with supporting departments to ensure surgeries are scheduled and coded properly. Qualifications High School diploma, certification, GED, training, and relevant experience. Minimum 3 years of healthcare experience required; surgery experience preferred. Professional, detail-oriented team player with effective interpersonal communication skills and excellent customer service skills. Highly organized with ability to multi-task. Effective communication with surgeons, patients, operational and clinical leadership, and facility & BHSF support departments. Proficient in EMR, computer applications and scheduling systems (Cerner, Soarian, etc.). Bilingual (Spanish) preferred. Pay Estimated pay range: $18.87 - $24.53 per hour, depending on experience.
