AP Specialist

Accounts Payable Specialist LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a growing organization in Marshall, Texas. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience managing high-volume accounts payable processes, vendor communications, and financial reporting. This is a fully onsite position with the potential to convert to a permanent role based on performance and business needs. Responsibilities Process high-volume invoices accurately and efficiently while ensuring proper coding and compliance with company policies. Review and verify invoice details, supporting documentation, and payment approvals. Serve as a resource to leadership by analyzing accounts payable data and preparing reports on key metrics. Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies, billing issues, and account concerns in a timely manner. Analyze AP aging reports and vendor statements to identify discrepancies and ensure liabilities are accurately recorded. Maintain accurate vendor records and documentation. Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable. Support process improvements and help maintain accounting best practices. Qualifications 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume environment. Experience working with manual AP processes and significant data entry responsibilities. Strong understanding of accounts payable procedures and basic accounting principles. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to research and resolve vendor issues professionally and effectively. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Proficient with Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting multiple locations or business units. Ability to analyze financial data and make recommendations based on AP aging and reporting. Pay Details $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience.
