Clerical Associate

Kelly is seeking reliable, detail-oriented Clerical Associates to assist with ballot processing, document verification, and tabulation for a major international labor union election.

You will work in an organized, collaborative office setting under direct supervision, with union representatives, candidates, and independent election monitors on site. Paid on-the-job training is provided.

Project Schedule & Shift Options:

• Monday, October 5: Paid project orientation & training (~4 hours; exact start time TBD)
• Tuesday, October 6 Thursday, October 8: Main processing days (choose one shift):
  • 1st Shift: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM 12:00 AM (Midnight)
• Friday, October 9: Finalization, material breakdown, and project closeout

Meals:

• Catered lunch provided on site Tuesday, October 6 Thursday, October 8.

Key Responsibilities:

• Open, sort, and inspect envelopes and returned election materials.
• Extract, review, and prepare paper ballots for processing.
• Scan documents and enter verified election data into computer systems.
• Check voter eligibility, cross-reference rosters, and verify batch counts.
• Assist with official ballot tabulation beginning October 6.
• Package, box, seal, and catalog materials during final breakdown on October 9.
• Maintain strict chain-of-custody, accuracy, and operational confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in clerical work, data entry, document processing, mailroom operations, or customer service preferred.
• Comfortable using computers and basic database entry tools.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with manual paperwork.
• Ability to follow detailed verbal and written instructions.
• Punctual, dependable, and committed to working all assigned project days.
• Professional communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Non-Negotiable Site Guidelines:

• Strictly Smoke-Free & Vape-Free: The entire facility and property are 100% smoke-free. Candidates must be able to complete their full shift without tobacco or vape breaks.
• Strict Cell Phone Prohibition: Personal cell phones and recording devices are strictly prohibited on the production/work floor. Secure storage areas are provided for personal belongings.
• Clean Floor Policy: Absolutely no food, candy, or beverages (including bottled water) are permitted on the active production floor.
• Pet-Friendly Facility: Two friendly, leashed dogs are present on site.
