Day to Day

  • Manage program plans to ensure timely, high-quality completion aligned with team and organizational goals.

  • Monitor and help mitigate program risks, escalating as needed.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product, UX, and other cross-functional teams to align efforts and resolve roadblocks.

  • Support program reviews with Engineering, Product, UX, and Science leadership to assess progress, address issues, and contribute recommendations.

  • Contribute to programs focused on engineering excellence aligned with business and organizational goals.

  • Provide regular updates to team members, partners, and leadership on status, challenges, and opportunities.

  • Engage cross-functional partners regularly to gather feedback and help refine processes that support quality and engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage moderately complex programs, supporting project delivery in partnership with engineering and product managers; step in to manage projects as needed.

  • Collaborate with program managers and cross-functional partners to support roadmap planning and execution.

  • Assist in conducting risk assessments to help ensure implementation plans meet partner requirements and priorities.

  • Communicate effectively with business partners to share updates, gather input, and support program success.

  • Help identify root causes of challenges or opportunities and partner with appropriate teams to support timely solutions.

  • Support and guide project teams, sharing best practices to enhance project management capabilities.

  • Promote collaboration across cross-functional groups to support alignment and successful program execution.

Skills/Competencies

  • Requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience; or a minimum of 8 years with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience.

  • Agile and adaptable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

  • Proven experience influencing senior management and managing major cross-functional initiatives.

  • Skilled in handling multi-year, highly technical programs (e.g., infrastructure migration, platform programs, re-architecture).

  • Ability to communicate technical topics to a business audience, and business topics to technical teams.

  • Expertise in various product development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.

  • Experience collaborating with engineering teams to deliver high-quality products through the software lifecycle, with metrics orientation and a customer-centric mindset.

Salary Range Transparency

Tier 1-- United States of America 124,000-186,000 USD per year

Tier 2 - United States of America 138,000 - 208,000 USD per year

Tier 3- United States of America 151,000- 227,000 USD per year

Tier 4- n/a

Tier 5- United States of America 172,000-258,000 USD per year

Salary Range Disclaimer

The salary range for this role reflects the minimum and maximum compensation for the role. Offers are typically made between the range minimum and the range midpoint. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, and expertise, as evaluated during the interview process. The range(s) listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), a Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits. Compensation may also vary based on where a role is performed, as work locations are grouped into geographic pay tiers to reflect cost of labor differences in different geographic markets.
