Senior & Lead Transmission Line Engineer Positions We are seeking Senior & Lead Transmission Line Engineers (multiple positions) to work in a fast‑paced environment solving challenging problems in electric transmission. The successful candidates will work on electric transmission line design projects for high‑voltage (HV) and extra high‑voltage (EHV) overhead and underground systems across the country. Work Location & Compensation Work Location: 100% REMOTE (must reside in the U.S.; preference given to candidates aligned with Mountain Time Zone). Compensation: Salary ranges from $73,450.00 to $132,775.00, matched to experience, qualifications and demonstrated expertise. Responsibilities Design and analyze electric transmission line systems using NESC, ASCE, ACI and other applicable standards. Prepare bidding documents, plans, specifications, and material procurement and construction documents. Interface with clients, project planning, environmental, permitting and construction management personnel. Develop project scopes, budgets and proposals. Conduct engineering analyses and drafting for overhead and underground systems. Work within a Leidos team and collaborate with junior staff and project teams. Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs) Mid – Senior Level: Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering with at least 4 years of experience in utility transmission system design. Lead Level: Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering with at least 8 years of experience, including at least 2 years of leadership, mentorship or supervisory experience. Experience reviewing full transmission line designs including PLS‑CADD models, foundations, material plans and construction packages. Knowledge of NESC, ACI, AISC, ASCE code requirements, construction specifications, procurement processes, project schedules and work packages. Proficiency in PLS‑CADD, POLE, foundation analysis software (LPILE or FAD Tools), Microsoft Office. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication with clients and project teams. Travel up to 10‑15% or periodic onsite work may be required. Preferred Experience Professional Engineer (PE) License or Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification. Experience with GO95 standards. Experience with construction management and support. Additional program experience: PLS TOWER, Bentley MicroStation, Bentley ProjectWise, Mathcad, Autodesk AutoCAD.
