The University Dining department has nine service units located within DeBot Residential Dining Center, the Dreyfus University Center, and the Chemistry/Biology Building on the main UW-Stevens Point campus. University Dining is a unit within the Division of Student Affairs.\\*\\*Full position description is available upon request. \\*\\*## **Key Job Responsibilities:*** Develops, implements, and disseminates marketing materials through various communication mediums utilizing appropriate technologies and techniques* Develops, implements, and maintains strategic marketing plans based on research and established strategies* Collects, analyzes, prepares, summarizes, and disseminates data and trends relevant to ongoing or future marketing activities## **Department:**The focus of this position is to provide daily and strategic direction for a marketing unit within University Dining; supervise a student marketing team; set the direction and manage an integrated marketing plan to enhance services, increase revenues, and to share the mission of University Dining. This position may require flexible hours at times, including evenings and weekends. Qualified candidates must work collaboratively, take initiative, and demonstrate excellent oral and written communications skills. ## **Compensation:**The Marketing Specialist is a full-time, salaried, exempt, annual (12-month), academic staff, position.Well-qualified candidates can expect a starting annual salary of $49,000 commensurate with the candidate’s education, related experience, and qualifications.Eligible Universities of Wisconsin employees receive an excellent benefits package. Use the Health & Retirement Contributions Estimator to calculate the estimated value of your compensation and benefits. ## **Required Qualifications:*** Associate degree in integrated marketing, business, communications or related field OR 2 years professional experience in marketing is required.* Basic knowledge and application of graphic design, website development, and project management tools including an understanding of standards, platforms and strategies.* Proficiency in MS Office applications.* Proven effective written and oral communication skills.* Demonstrated experience in coordinating marketing plans and promotions.* Experience producing written and visual materials. ## **Preferred Qualifications:*** Bachelor’s Degree in integrated marketing, business, communications, or related field.* Demonstrated experience developing and managing production timelines, and knowledge of professional industry standards and programs.* Extensive experience working with graphic design programs (Adobe Suite) and web content management systems.* Proficiency with social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok, YouTube, Snapchat, and other emerging/trending resources) as a marketing tool.* Past experience supervising students, preferably in a university environment. ## **How to Apply:**TO ENSURE CONSIDERATION: Applications received by 10/19/2026 are ensured full consideration.
