Traveling Construction Superintendent

About the PositionDevCo US Construction is hiring for a Full-Time Traveling Construction Site Superintendent. The Site Superintendent is expected to be the construction “lead” and is responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, on budget, meeting quality standards and are done safely. The Traveling Site Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all of the daily operations of the construction site.Our projects span the U.S., offering opportunities to learn, lead, and advance. This travel-based role requires flexibility and relocation. Superintendents typically work on projects for about two years before moving to new assignments. While we aim to keep projects regional, business needs may require relocation anywhere in the country.The first project this Traveling Construction Site Superintendent is being hired for is a 341 unit four-story garden-style build south of downtown Bozeman, MT. Internally, this project is referred to as Graf Street. The project is starting very quickly and the construction period is estimated to take 25 months. Oversee the Assistant Superintendent for scheduling of materials, equipment, manpower, and subcontractors to ensure project schedule and quality are met. Review and approve the updated project schedule that the Assistant Site Superintendent will distribute to all subcontractors. Monitor the pace and quality of work. Work with the Project Manager to prepare status reports and regularly monitor deliveries, subcontractors and schedules. Oversee and direct the allocation of project resources appropriately (manpower, materials and equipment) through phone conversations and emails keeping accurate records of daily activities.Supervise entire construction field staff, ensuring project deadlines are metAbility to anticipate and overcome project challengesMaintain a strong relationship with Project ManagersLead daily/weekly meetings to ensure the team is working together successfully and delivering quality workManage and maintain project safetyMaintain OSHA requirements at all timesParticipate in OAC meetings as requiredMentor less experienced construction professionalsTrack project documentation, tasks, issues, etc.Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractorsThe ability to become proficient in ProcoreTravel will be requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ground Up Low Income Housing Tax Credit Multifamily Construction Project ExperienceGarden Style, Podium, Wrap and/or Open Courtyard and Urban Mid Rise Project Experience. Post Tension experience desirable.Strong Reputation for working well with SubcontractorsAbility to create strong relationships with stakeholdersManage entire process from start to finish - including site clearing, earth work, underground utilities, site planning/logistics, managing/leading the entire field team on the site, walking the site regularly, scheduling, evaluating performance, & communicating to Project Manager.4-year degree in a construction related field or commensurate field experience.5-7 years work experience in garden style multifamily construction site supervision with proven ability to use multiple types of software to efficiently manage projects.Successful completion of background check and drug screen required.Must be legally qualified to work in the U.S. meeting I-9 guidelines.Must be able to speak, read and write English in a manner sufficient to carry out duties.DevCo US Construction is an Equal Opportunity Employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr DEVCO US CONSTRUCTION LLC
