Rare Disease Business Manager, Alpha-1 (Miami FL)

About the Role As a Rare Disease Business Manager – Alpha‑1, you will support Key West, FL, Miami, FL up to Melbourne, FL and surrounding areas. You will report to the Sr. Regional Business Director. Your Contributions Achieve sales quotas by driving new patient starts, sales in outpatient infusion centers and hospitals, and retention of patients on Takeda augmentation treatment. Educate and inform healthcare professionals (Pulmonology, Allergy/Immunology, Respiratory Therapists, select Internal Medicine/Primary Care) on Takeda brands for Alpha‑1 Antitrypsin Deficiency. Build the National Sales and Marketing Strategy and create a territory business tactical plan. Conduct calls on prospective customers, deliver master sales presentations, provide technical and administrative product information and demonstrations. Maintain compliance with promotional and expense policies. Collaborate with home‑office personnel, Marketing/Brand, National and Corporate account teams to pull through product sales. Utilize Microsoft applications and Takeda’s customer‑management system. Conduct community education events for healthcare professionals and patients. Work occasional nights and weekends; travel up to ~50% of the time. Minimum Requirements / Qualifications Clinical sales background with a bachelor's degree (minimum). 5+ years of successful, relevant healthcare experience. Must live within territory and manage it from border-to-border. Experience with payor and reimbursement challenges. Strong organizational and territory‑planning skills. Proficient at acquiring and interpreting data to create sales strategies. Experience influencing HCPs to prescribe specialty biologics (injections/infusions). Experience working with specialty pharmacies preferred. Knowledge of plasma‑derived therapies, rare diseases, or biotech desirable. Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and ability to drive a leased or rental vehicle. Must be at least 18 years old.
