Position Overview Northrop Grumman's Flight Systems Post-Boost, Payloads and Protections Operating Unit is seeking a Senior Manager of Program Management to lead Sentinel Post-Boost Integrated Product Team (IPT) activity and partner with subcontract management team (SMT) leads and functional engineering operations to perform Sentinel tasking at the Huntsville, AL and Space Park, CA campuses. The selected candidate will also oversee team activity to identify, capture, develop, and execute new and follow‑on business. The position will interface with other Strategic Deterrence Systems (SDS) Division Flight Systems Business Unit teams and SDS engineering Functional Home Room (FHR) organizations. This leadership opportunity will be located in either Roy, UT, Huntsville, AL, or Manhattan Beach, CA . The role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. Responsibilities Develop increased customer intimacy by leading the Flight Systems Post-Boost IPT and partnering with System Program Office (SPO) Government leadership. Coordinate with SDS Engineering FHR organizations regarding current and projected staffing needs to execute IPT activity and drive employee engagement and effectiveness. Partner with SMT Leads to oversee and adjust Post-Boost IPT activity performed by Aerojet and other key suppliers. Interface with and advocate for the Post-Boost Attitude Control Module Production Operations & Manufacturing and Test leadership teams in Huntsville and Space Park to deliver maximum capability across the Sentinel program and SDS. Manage Profit & Loss, including monitoring earned value management system metrics and compiling monthly and quarterly financial reports to support annual sales projections, comprehensive estimates at completion, and long‑range strategic plans. Develop and support growth strategies for Payloads and Protections Sentinel and adjacent program opportunities. Execute program activity in a manner that meets or exceeds Northrop Grumman yearly financial goals and customer requirements. Oversee the preparation of new and restructure/modification proposals and guide proposal teams to develop executable program plans balancing risk and affordability. Grow the Post-Boost portfolio to drive profitable revenue growth and maximize annual sales. Support the development and refinement of program management and project control processes and procedures. Participate in programmatic and technical governance boards and assist engineers with executing change management. Lead Post-Boost IPT activities to execute upcoming flight tests and scale for production. Direct work experience with Department of War Government personnel. Demonstrable history of versatile and dynamic leadership and the ability to forge strong customer and teammate relationships and to build, maintain, and motivate a high‑performance execution team. Strong communication skills. Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret or higher clearance at time of application, current and within scope. Nice to Have Bachelor’s Degree in STEM. Strong collaborator with the ability to work across multiple areas within Northrop Grumman and be comfortable navigating a matrixed environment. Ability to advocate and influence government acquisition plans and create new business capture strategies. Experience in identifying and mitigating performance risks while operating in a demanding, high‑paced environment with minimal supervision. Additional Information Primary Level Salary Range: $166,700.00 - $289,600.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
