Financial Analyst

We are seeking candidates for an onsite Financial Analyst for a financial sector client in the Jackson metro area.This key team member will have an active role in financial reporting and analysis, month-end closing, ad hoc reporting, budgeting, forecasting and projections. Responsibilities Perform financial and operational analysis to support decision-making. Compile monthly statistical and financial reports. Manage the month-end close process. Analyze budget-to-actual financial results monthly. Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as needed. Extract and organize data to support reporting and analysis. Ensure timely and accurate completion of bank reconciliations. Develop models, analytics, and assumptions for the loan portfolio. Prepare and support the annual budgeting process. Improve processes for combining data across systems to support management reporting. Communicate analysis results and key findings to leadership. Collaborate with the accounting team to enhance use of operational metrics within the accounting system. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required; master’s degree preferred. CPA designation is a plus. 1+ years of progressive experience in corporate or public accounting roles with a focus on financial reporting and technical accounting. Advanced knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Excel. General knowledge of and experience with data extraction tools. Exceptional math and problem-solving skills.
