Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) and Quality Control (QC)

Job Summary QLM is hiring an experienced SSHO / QC Supervisor for a federal construction project at the Navy Air Base in Belle Chasse. We’re looking for a skilled professional with federal or commercial construction experience and strong knowledge of safety, quality control, and Navy eCMS reporting. You’ll play a key leadership role ensuring USACE and NAVFAC compliance, site safety, and overall project quality. Pay Range $32-$38 per hour What You'll Do Serve as both Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) and Quality Control Manager (QCM). Conduct daily inspections, safety meetings, and toolbox talks. Manage subcontractor compliance with USACE EM 385-1-1 and project QC plans. Maintain documentation through the Navy eCMS system. Report directly to project management and federal representatives. What You Need Must pass a Navy base background check. OSHA 30, USACE QCM, and CPR/First Aid certifications (required). 5+ years of federal or commercial construction experience. Experience using Navy eCMS. Strong communication and leadership skills. Preferred NAVFAC / DoD project experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
