Nestled in the heart of Daylesford's renowned spa country, The Virgin Kitchen is a vibrant, open-style restaurant known for its bold, modern menu, relaxed sophistication, and memorable dining experiences.

We're looking for a passionate and motivated Commis Chef to join the team at Club Wyndham Daylesford, Victoria in a part-time position . If you take pride in creating quality dishes, love working in a collaborative kitchen environment, and enjoy delighting guests through exceptional food, we'd love to hear from you.

How You'll Shine

As our Commis Chef, you'll play an important role in preparing, producing, and presenting high-quality dishes while helping deliver an exceptional guest experience. Working alongside a supportive team, you'll have the opportunity to further develop your culinary skills in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene in line with HACCP principles and local catering regulations.
• Preparing, producing, and presenting food in accordance with Food Hygiene and Health & Safety standards commonly accepted within the hospitality industry.
• Demonstrating a genuine eagerness to enhance your culinary knowledge and skills.
• Contributing to the reduction of food wastage through efficient preparation and stock management.
• Delivering exceptional guest experiences through consistently high-quality food and service.
• Auditing kitchen stock and grocery lines daily and ordering supplies as required.

What You'll Bring

To be successful in this role, you'll bring a passion for food, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering quality in every service.

You'll also have:

• Relevant trade qualifications (such as Commercial Cookery).
• Previous Food & Beverage experience within a hotel, resort, or commercial kitchen environment.
• A current Food Safety Handler Certificate.
• A desire to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• An adaptable mindset and commitment to producing high-quality food.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for food quality, presentation, and consistency.
• A reliable, punctual, and professional approach.
• Excellent personal presentation and grooming standards.
• The flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
