Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal with 5â7 years of law firm litigation experience to support attorneys through every stage of complex litigation. This position is ideal for a career paralegal who is passionate about litigation, enjoys managing sophisticated cases, and is seeking a long-term opportunity within a stable and collaborative firm. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting state and federal litigation matters involving aviation, maritime, and transportation law. Key Responsibilities
- Manage cases through all phases of litigation, from initial filing through trial or settlement.
- Draft legal documents, pleadings, discovery requests, subpoenas, and correspondence.
- Coordinate document collection, production, and electronic discovery.
- Prepare deposition summaries, trial exhibits, witness binders, and mediation materials.
- File documents electronically through NYSCEF and PACER in both state and federal courts.
- Maintain case files, calendars, and litigation deadlines.
- Coordinate communications and scheduling with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Prepare damages brochures, presentations, and supporting litigation materials.
- Utilize AI-powered legal technology to assist with transcript analysis, document summarization, and document preparation.
- Provide comprehensive trial support, including availability for overtime during active trial periods.
Qualifications
Required
- 5â7 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm environment.
- Demonstrated experience supporting complex litigation from inception through trial or settlement.
- Strong experience with discovery, document production, deposition summaries, and trial preparation.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred
- Experience in aviation, maritime, transportation, insurance defense, or other complex civil litigation.
- Experience with electronic discovery and case management software.
